NMSR T-Ball Academy
The Teeball Development Academy is a baseball program for young players ages 3 1/2- 6 1/2 years old. The philosophy behind this new program is to teach kids how to love the game while learning necessary skills to develop young baseball/softball players. The TDA is a pathway to New Melle Baseball/Softball programs.
The Academy is about individual skill development. In this 12 week program, training days will consist of 6 sessions with individual team practices, 6 sessions of combined team practices and a short scrimmage, allowing for more focus on skill development for young players. Game days will consist of teams playing a traditional Teeball/Coach Pitch game. Each practice will consist of drills focused on the basics of Throwing, Hitting, and Catching. The game days are relaxed and fun allowing all players multiple opportunities to show off their skills at the plate and in the field. This program is designed to allow each player to become more comfortable with the basics of baseball/softball. We will also provide 2 indoor combined team sessions on March 10th and March 24th, to help get the kiddos get out of the house, shake their winter sillies out, and get players introduced to the drills they will be doing during the program. While the Academy will have teams, the purpose of this program is to help ALL players develop their skills. All Practices and Games will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays beginning ____ and lasting for 12 weeks. On game weeks, each team will have one practice and one game.
