Building the future of NMSR is inspiring and fun, but it’s not easy. NMSR Board Members and Managers aren’t just encouraged to come up with the next big idea, they’re empowered to own and build it. NMSR is thankful for each and every one of our employees who continue to assist in the growth of our organization!

ABOUT NEW MELLE SPORTS AND RECREATION
To promote the civic spirit and general welfare of the community and to provide opportunities for youth to participate in athletic activities and competitions while developing good sportsmanship, leadership skills and self-esteem.
Opportunities for learning, building self-esteem, leadership development, good sportsmanship and much more abound at NMSR. These values are at the forefront of all we teach in our programs.
NMSR is represented throughout western St. Charles, St. Louis, Warren, Lincoln, and Franklin County schools both public and private. Our expanded community reach promotes the concept of friendship and community. NMSR is committed to providing our youth with the tools and space to build friendships, positive social interaction with peers and the value of teamwork. The skills along with the confidence built through our programs play an important role in all aspects of a child’s life from a young age and into adulthood.
NMSR’s has a long history in the community we serve, many of the coaches and volunteers committed to our mission today started their journey with us as young children.
Our Philosophy
Participating at NMSR is an opportunity for children to learn to play organized sports, adults to serve as role models for their children by working together for a common goal and being part of something that isn’t found in many larger programs today—that feeling of community.
Volunteering
There are many ways to get involved as a NMSR volunteer. You can:
- Coach a team.
- Provide assistance in maintaining facilities
- Serve on the board or on a committee.
- Assist with repairs.
The opportunities are endless.
