Registration will run from January 1 until February 20. You can expect to hear from your coach, during the last week of February, to let you know about practices.
The season runs from mid-March to mid-May. Historically, there has been six weeks of games, with one game being played each weekend. In the past, games have been played in the morning, with the youngest grades starting first. You can expect two weeks of playoffs and the season to be completed by mid-May.
Practices will take place at New Melle Sports and Recreation and will be at the coaches discretion. Most teams practice one time, per week. Others practice twice. You can count on (roughly) two hours for each practice.
We will provide a game jersey, shorts and socks as part of the uniform package. Each player will be responsible for football cleats and a mouthpiece.
Kindergarten through 3rd play 5 vs 5 flag football, while grades 4th through 8th play 7 vs 7.
The league is a High School feeder program in grades 4th - 8th. This means, in order to play on a Junior Vikings team, the player must reside in the Francis Howell Viking boundaries..

Several of the grades will have multiple teams. The division of players will be left up to the coaches.
If our season is compromised by COVID-19, the refund policy is listed below:
Full refunds will be given if the season is canceled, prior to uniforms being ordered.
If the season is canceled after uniforms are ordered, a full refund will be given, minus uniform costs. However, uniforms will be delivered to the players.
If the season is canceled after the first game, there will be no refunds.
